Sudanese Insurance market

In the Frame work of law and organization chart for market:-

All the Insurance Companies started their work in the Sudan as Insurance Companies specifically and mostly working as agents for foreign companies and in the early fifties national companies were established to practice insurance work with the foreign companies agents.

The Insurance market continued with that structure up to 1970 when the activities of the foreign companies agents were halted, then the management were transferred to the national companies which were established during that time then then Law which regulating the functions of insurance was the supervisor law on Insurance for 1992 and a law to suspense and control or regulate the function of Insurance was issued

A- Long term insurance period – take full ( an alternative legal for life insurance ).

B-Kinds of general insurance which includes-:-

-         Insurance against fire

-         Cars Insurance

-         Insurance against miscellaneous emergency

-         Insurance against civil responsibilities

-         Insurance against service responsibilities

-         Insurance against air, river and land transport

-         Insurance against bridge of trust

-         Other- insurances which are specified by high legal supervisory corporation

-         The insurance which is approved its practices in the Sudan is the cooperative insurance and which dose not appose its practices with the Islamic legal provisions .

It is the insurance which dose not gain capital and never charges and the surplus returns to the insurance labors to holder of records and never returns the share holders even investment profit the rights from the capital
